I've spent over a decade working for one of the UK's largest online fundraising websites, raising over £30m to date.
In that time, our website has undergone a few facelifts - currently the focus is a clean, light design supplemented by illustrations.
The front-end is powered by Bootstrap, albeit heavily customised to make it our own and to remove anything not in use.
In 2019 we launched a new product where you could create fundraising pages and make donations.
This product has since raised millions for charity, and has been used by the likes of Kevin Sinfield and Graeme Souness to support their multi-million pound fundraising campaigns.
We partnered with Stripe for taking donations, utilising Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal to make donating as easy as possible.
I've also built a Wordpress plugin that allows charities to start the donation process on their website with a customised, branded form.
Q4 is our most important time of year, with online shopping at its peak. It also allows me to add a few novelty features, including a shakeable snowglobe and snowy background scenes.
