My story

I've spent a decade working for one of the largest fundraising websites in the UK. Being part of a small company, I've had to wear many hats!

My work has covered front-end and back-end development; design, UX & UI; SEO; site speed and performance; product development; data & analytics; and much more.

My skills

Having worked in both marketing and technical teams, I've gained a wide variety of skills and a greater appreciation of what makes a great website.

Building websites is more than using the latest fancy tech under the hood, they've got to serve your users/customers - so that means they need to be intuitive to use, easy on the eye, fast to load.

I've got experience in languages and tools including: HTML, SCSS/CSS, JavaScript, Java, Laravel, PHP, mySQL, Docker, Webpack, Amazon Web Services, Google Marketing Platform, Adobe Creative Cloud, HTML emails, and Wordpress.

The name?

A silly spoonerism of my name, coined during sixth form. "Matt Hallett Web Development" would be a bit dull wouldn't it?!
